Becoming an agent
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development accredits education agents to be its representative to recruit students for Victorian Government Schools. A commission is paid for most students.
Victorian Government Schools are represented by approximately 150 agents in over 15 countries around the world. Each agent has a contract with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
Since the changes to the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development has become more accountable for its agents' activities. Consequently Victorian Government Schools only accept applications from those agents who are registered and have a contract to recruit students on behalf of Victorian Government Schools.
If you wish to promote Victorian Government schools or have students wanting to enrol in our schools then you must be one of our registered agents. If not, students must apply directly to the International Student Program Unit.
Agents from China who are currently not registered must submit any applications with a registered agent.
Please note that all applications for enrolment into a Victorian Government Schools are to be made directly to the International Division. Please do not contact schools directly.
To make an application to become a registered agent, please complete the Expression of Interest Form. Simply email the Agent Liaison Team on international@edumail.vic.gov.au to obtain the Expression of Interest Form. Applications must also be accompanied by:
- Copy of business registration
- Copy of Australian residency status (if onshore applicant)
