Berry exemplified outstanding leadership through a range of activities and experiences at Doncaster Secondary College. Serving as College Captain, Berry represented the whole student body, addressing concerns and driving positive change for both local and international students. And as an International Student Voice Ambassador, she advocated for students on a broader scale, making a positive impact to the school and beyond.
Having experienced language barriers herself, Berry founded a mentorship program addressing challenges faced by VCE international students. Her commitment to levelling the playing field for all students is reflected in her numerous achievements, including the Year 11 Student Leadership Award and recognition at the Victorian International Student Public Speaking competition.
Berry’s resilience and leadership extend further than her school environment. Her role as a table host at the Principals’ Breakfast and acknowledgment as Young Volunteer of the Year in the Manningham Council Civic Awards highlight her commitment to making a positive impact in the broader community.
