Thank you for expressing your interest in becoming an accredited education agent for Victorian government schools. As an accredited agent, you will play a vital role in providing information and support to international students considering enrolment in Victorian government schools.
Accreditation criteria
The following criteria will be used to assess your agency's suitability for accreditation with the Department of Education (the department), Victoria:
- Business registration – evidence your agency is a registered business complying with all relevant laws and regulations of Australia. A certified translation is required if based overseas
- Business services – demonstrated capacity to deliver counselling and support services to clients. A short presentation of your business and business plan is required
- Market knowledge and capacity – demonstrated minimum of 3-years’ experience in recruiting international students holding a subclass 500 student - schools visa to Australian schools and already be accredited with at least 2 Australian primary or secondary schools or jurisdictions.
- Appropriately trained and qualified staff – at least one staff member who holds a Qualified Education Agent Counsellor (QEAC) Certificate.
- Reference Checks - provide 2 Australian-based and school sector education institution referees. Please note, references from individuals working within the Victorian government school system or Department of Education will not be accepted.
Once your agency meets these criteria, please email all required documents to international@education.vic.gov.au, and you will be included in the Expression of Interest (EOI) list. If your agency is considered suitable for accreditation, we will send you an invitation for the accreditation process when the cycle reopens.
