Vu Quynh Anh (Anne) grew up in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where she first developed her passion for community. Anne’s observation of disparities in living conditions, particularly in canal-side communities, inspired her to propose the construction of a community centre, aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged residents.
This passion for enriching her community is mirrored in Anne’s involvement in the arts. She has actively participated in her school's art society, contributing her skills in animation, technical drawing and software to assist others. For her efforts, she was recognised with the 2024 Visual Arts Award and Best Original Story Dez Award.
Anne encourages international students to explore creative subjects such as, visual communication design, media and art, which are often overlooked in favour of more traditional academic paths. She offers support to her peers in navigating these fields and finding paths that resonate with them.
