A globally-oriented education system is crucial to ensuring that our young people have the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly inter-connected world and workplace.
Globalisation of jobs, trade and economies mean that young Australians will increasingly work globally, and have to navigate expanding cultural diversity both at home and abroad.
The Globally Engaged Learners (GELs) program funds a range of global learning and engagement activities that enable international and local student collaboration and build students' global citizenship skills and capabilities, including intercultural capability, personal and social capability, leadership, and student voice and agency.
The program aims to equip primary and secondary students from government and non-government Victorian schools with the skills and aspirations to become active global citizens.
Places are open for various GELs activities throughout 2023. For more information visit the GELs webpage.
We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of country throughout Victoria and pay respect to the ongoing living cultures of First Peoples.
