Victorian Young Leaders program

Coronavirus (COVID-19) has impacted the Victorian Young Leaders (VYL) and the program has been postponed until it is safe once again to travel.

The VYL program offers a life-changing immersion experience for Year 9 students and accompanying teachers. The program provides students the opportunity to spend time at an international host school and immerse themselves in the culture of the host country. Students participating in the program will develop their leadership and global citizenship skills, language skills and intercultural understanding and awareness.

Since VYL China began in 2014 nearly 2000 students have participated in the VYL program. The VYL Program has since expanded and in 2019, VYL India and VYL Indonesia were piloted for the first time with a combined total of 79 students.

The VYL program offers the chance to live, learn and explore in China, India and Indonesia.
